Mudslide Band
From left to right: Steven Koenigsberg, George Allen, Kevin Schultz
Mudslide is the sound of deafening, pulse-pounding drums clanging and banging on into
an endless night. It is the sound of chest-bursting bass and sonic screaming heavy metal guitars,
accompanied by blazing vocals that make the women want us and the men want to be like us. Mudslide
started in 1980 with Kevin, Chris, and Scott and changed in 1985 to Kevin, (Kevin's brother Loren),
and Andy Phillips, and now is currently lunged into 2007 with a brand new hot guitarist
(Steven Koenigsberg). The 4 current members of Mudslide are Steven Koenigsberg on vocals
and guitar, George Allen on guitar, Craig Shephard on bass and Kevin Schultz on drums and
vocals. Mudslide are a gig playing band and, since 2007 have played at Studio 7 twice,
The Central twice, and The Showbox green room twice, the two most recent gigs being on
3-20-08 and 4-15-08. The gig at the showbox on 4-15 was professionally filmed by Ian
Billingsley who works in close contact with Chad and Brandon, who work on booking bands
at the showbox. There were two interviews conducted by both Brandon and Nathan before
and after the show that night. All this was captured on a series of 3 DVDs that we are
looking to market and sell in the future. Some footage from this ear shattering, pulse
pounding dance your ass off show WILL BE available on our myspace page (see the image below)
very shortly so keep checking in on this page and our myspace page for more news on that.
Big things will be happening in Mudslide's future this up coming summer as we are going
to be playing The War room in capital hill and the Showbox SODO very soon
So, come on in and take a seat, enjoy the ride, because we're only putting on a show.
After the gig at the Showbox Green Room 3-20-08. From left to right:
Chad, Chad's girlfriend, Steve, Marcus. Back row: Kevin, Craig, Brandon. Special thanks
to Brandon and Chad at the showbox for helping us get this gig, we are forever in your debt!
Rock on and long live Mudslide!

RARE STUDIO ALBUMS AND LIVE BOOTLEGS ONLY $3!

When The band reformed in 2005 with Steven Koenigsberg as the new singer/guitarist, Steven was still trying to find his own unique style and the band was called Merkava, named after the last stage in the Xenogears playstation game. This formulation was a mixture of glam and black metal and later became mostly black metal towards the publication of the "Dark Prophet" Mudslide album. Initially, Steven liked to play a lot of Slayer and Motley Crue in addition to the original songs like "Tomorrow's Future," "Sleazy Girl," and "Love Attack", which are featured on the "Fists of Steel" album. "Atomic" marked the end of the Merkava era in 2006 and from that point on it became "Mudslide" again and Steven started playing Kevin's songs as well as his own. The other albums with the titles "System Self-Destruct" and "Dark Womb" were old band names from 2003 and 2004 when Steven had Jeff as his bass player, before he met Kevin. These were originally 4 track cassette tapes and are a very rare catch indeed!
